Waqas Ahmed is PhD Scholar at Business School, Universiti of Kuala Lumpur (UniKL) Malaysia. His research interests include the innovation adoption mechanisms particularly implementation of Management Information System and Smart Technologies to enhance the digital integration at business and government level and to understand the cognitive perspective of individuals (i.e., employees, consumers & citizens) towards technology use. The main goal of his research is to grasp the sustainability by Information & Communication Technologies for Development (ICTD). His doctoral research work is based on behavioral assessment of citizens towards the smart mobility services in Malaysia. It includes the IoT system research in transportation sector towards the practical and academic contributions. His research investigates the widespread utilization of sensor technology that covers the smart mobility element of smart city through updating and developing the conventional theories and models into smart one. He has published numerous articles on digital technologies and behavioral sciences in reputed journals and international conferences that coincided with user behavior investigation through advanced statistical analysis such as Structural Equation Modelling (SEM) and Artificial Neural Networks (ANN). He also has contributed the novel concepts of “Digital Dexterity” and “IoT-SERVQUAL” to Technology Management literature.
